July challenge – Animals

July is an animal month at 7 Dots Studio 🙂 Our super talented design team created a bunch of gorgeous layouts about animals. Who doesn’t love them?! Now you have an opportunity to make a tribute to your beloved cat, dog, rat, bird or any other beloved animal. You can also create any animal related project – we encourage you to join us and be joyful 🙂
Here is an inspiration from our team:
“Frogging”
My daughter loves all animals. She even invented a new word for frog catching: “Frogging”. She said that when you catch fish is fishing and when you catch frogs its frogging. Even though they are actually toads, she loved catching them by the pond when we went on a trip up north to the countryside. She spent hours catching and releasing frogs/toads and really had a blast.
Layout – Baby Gecko
Louise used rent a house that had a huge overgrown garden. This garden was home to lots of wildlife. Every no and again a gecko would crawl out onto the concrete foot paths and sun themselves.
I find delight in living in accordance with nature and its rhythm. Summer tastes like wild strawberries and berries that stain dresses. It has all the colors of flowers that I use for my wreath. Dappled feathers, herbs, moss and twigs adorned with flowers, birds’ serenades and a fawn among tress – the forest celebrates the summer blooming and invites me to a feast.
I’m totally under the spell of new collections and their earthly colours!
On the photo there is our pet. It’s a girl. Her name is Klyaksa 🙂 She is very lazy, she likes to sleep and eat. But sometimes she hunts birds and mice in the street.
Walk on the wild side
My page features one of my favourite animals, the raccoon. Mischievous and a trouble though it can be, I find it adorable! I have combined the Nature Walk Collection with the Love is in the air – I think the blue/green combo is just perfect for my photo!
Finally I scrapped a photo of our shyest cat – Chives. He loves to spend most of his time outside in our sunny garden & is very anti-social. He is very gentle & sweet which I tried to portray with my shabby-style layout although I did keep the colours neutral as he is a boy after all!
This is lo about my lovely dog west highland white terier Fendi and her friend Sheep. I’ve used Messy Head and Illumination Collections
I knew exactly what to do when I read the theme! My father just got a puppy so there was no other way than to document the little one for this challenge. The puppy is called “Lumo” which is Finnish meaning charm or enchantment. The name is perfect for her as she has charmed us all!
I went with puppy browns and baby pinks in this page.
