August challenge – vacation time

Hello 🙂
It is August already! Many of us travel in Summer with families or friends. We spend more time outside, basking our faces in the sun. We are tend to spend more time relaxing and chatting with friends. Those of us, that have kids, usually spend holiday with whole family, playing and resting. That is why we decided to choose “vacation time” for our August challenge theme. Here is the inspiration from the team:
My layout is more of a wish than a recording of a vacation. I have visited the gorgeous place in the photo, but I was then keeping workshops. It was my first ever trip to Norway – and at the same time my first ever workshops abroad – but I so wish to return to this beautiful country and scenery with my family for a vacation. The fjord was absolutely stunning and the mountains, too. And the sea. Oh the sea! It blew my mind!
A lot of our vacations are spent down the beach. We go 4 Wheel driving to find secluded fishing spots. We are so lucky to live close to some of the best fishing coast line in Australia. There is nothing better than clear blue skies, warm yellow sand in your toes and the sound of waves crashing onto the beach to help you relax.
For the “Vacation” theme I finally scrapped the photos taken at an Eminem concert I went to with my son a couple of years back. My husband treated us to this experience as my birthday present, because we are both HUGE fans. I had to fly to another state for the weekend & meet up with my son, who came by bus from the university he attends in yet another state! I kept the air-ticket stubs as well as my concert ticket stub so tried to create a page that looked like the contents of a travel wallet spilling out!
Every year I create happy memories with my family on vacation and I make a lot of pictures.
On my layout it’s one of those fun photos.
I’ve used the Destination Unknown collection and UmWow Studio chipboard.
When my boys start to spend more time on trees than at home it is a sign, that vacation has started It is a time of freedom, unconcern, warmth, summer and happines
There’s my younger boy – Tomek, eating cherries straight from the tree
To make my layout I used one of the newest collection – “Lost and Found”.
I love to spend holiday in active form. This photo is a selfie I took during canoeing in one of the most beautiful Polish region – Mazury. It is called by Polish people a “land of thousand lakes”. There are also lots of forests and wild animals – a beautiful place to take some rest and be close to the nature.
For my layout I have used Yuletide and Verano Azul collections.
Whilst this photo of Battery Park NYC looks very bleek and uninviting Louise thought is was absolutely beautiful! It was the first time she had experienced a snowy winter!
