December challenge – Cold Weather

We have last challenge for you – last one in this year of course 🙂 We all know, that December is a very busy month, but… our challenge is open till January, 19th 🙂 So you have plenty of time to create a project inspired by “Cold Weather” theme 🙂 Here is the inspiration from our Design Team:
I simply LOVE this pattern paper from the Yuletide Collection {aptly named Gingerbread}. It’s so warm & cosy & works so well as a background paper for Winter layouts because white POPS off it just like snow! I didn’t realise just how awesome this collection was until I actually created with it {this being my first project} but I am now incredibly excited to use it all up as it epitomizes everything about the Holiday Season!
Cold weather – but this really cold, snowy, wintery and sunny – is the one that i really LOVE! I love snow and winter activities. For our December challenge I created snowy layout about skiing. I hope You’ll like it.
I created my winter layout using Yuletide and Lost and Found collections.
Winter is magic. To be cozy, outside temperatures need to be cold 🙂
There’s nothing cozy about summer time, because you can’t really curl up under a blanket with a hot mug of tea 🙂
Wishing you all the best for the Holiday Season!
I have used gorgeous Yuletide collection to create this winter layout.
I usually do layouts but this time I wanted to do something else. When thinking what to do I first thought about ATCs but I do those often, too. But cards, regular cards, they are a rarity for me! So I tackled that format and made snowy winter cards! Even though the Christmas is coming I didn’t want to make pure Christmas cards – partly also because the theme was “Cold Weather” and to me that means a cold color palette also. I mixed in items from various collections but kept the colors really icy and cold.
Louise hadnt realy experienced a snowy winter or what true cold was until she dpent one of her holidays in the USA during winter. This layout features a photo that she took of Battery Park NYC. Louise absolutely lived this wintery holiday, but not enough that she would want to live through this type of weather on a regular basis LOL. 🙂
I’ve made a card using amazing Verano Azul Collection and chipboard pieces from Yuletide. I mixed 2 collections to get light cold palette with winter symbols.
