Time surrenders by Anastasi Kuznetsova

I have devoted this project to my mom’s family (on the photo she is the smallest one). When she saw the canvas, she remembered every detail of the photo shoot. This photograph was taken in the late 1950s. The family lived in a small village in the center of the European part of Russia. In that times, you had to go to the city, to have taken a picture. That is why people were very rarely photographed. And it was something very important for a little girl. She remembered how they were seated with beautiful landscape paintings as a background. In one moment, the photographer said that everything is ready and they should stop blinking. That is why my mother has opened her eyes so widely and pursed her lips. She was afraid to spoil a single photo. I love this photo.
