Mint Julep by Marie Johansson

Using scraps to create cards is a perfect way to use up pieces of paper or embellishments that otherwise will find their way into your trash bin. I decided to make a card from a piece of the “Mint Julep” 12×12 patterned paper from the Cotton Candy Dreams Collection. I used the paper for the little round box I created for 7 Dots Studio last month, if you remember that piece.

Tags, stickers & a Cotton Candy Dreams flair from UmWowStudio, together with a couple of flowers make the card look great.

Another great way to use up small scraps from patterned papers is to use them when you die cut. I die cut the leaves on the card from a scrap piece of paper from the Writer┬┤s Block Collection.

This video will guide you trough how I created the card:

Thanks for stepping by today.
