May Challenge: Dreams

may challenge dreams

In the month of May we thought that the next challenge will be about Dreams. May it be dreams, goals, aspirations or actual night dreams we want you to take what lies inside you imagination and channel it into your projects. So what dreams have you been having lately? Come and share them with us in this challenge.

Here is the inspiration from our team:

“Dreamroad This Way” – I created an art journaling page using the Dreamscapes and Hazy Days collections from 7 Dots Studio. I had a specific idea for this page but it didn’t turned out at all like I expected; it actually turned out better. The page took a turn on its own which made me realize that I must follow my heart and intuition when creating. It really fit the theme of this challenge perfectly as I really felt as if my dreams really know the way and I must follow!! There is a video tutorial above on how I created this art journaling page.

I guess we all have big dreams, goals to achieve in our life. It’s ok – I have such dreams myself, but I always try to remember that we should enjoy the little things, everyday miracles. Only then we’ll be happy. I prepared my layout using Dreamscapes collection.

I had fun making a tag in for this challenge from the Cotton Candy Dreams collection that i think fits theme perfectly. Please enjoy the video.

For our May challenge I made this tag in delicate, pastel colours. I used elements from Dreamscapes and Hazy Days collections. I liked geometric stencils and chipboards, with their help you can conjure up beautiful patterns.

Hello everybody, I love this picture of my little son, now He’s 6 years old, but dreaming is still one of his favourite activities. He is a great dreamer. So this theme is perfect for him !!! I created the background for my project with a paper from the Writer’s Block collection, used blue sprays and modeling paste + a stencil to add texture. I also used Word Stickers, Dies cut and more papers from the same collection, I love it! The embroidering hoop was paint with metallic paints and wax .

What could be more perfect collection to use for a Dream related project than Cotton Candy Dreams? My project is a sweet reminder to never let go of your dreams. You need to chase them, grasp them, make them true. But what’s most important, you need to have them. So sweet dreams!

HI dreamers! This month, I treated my layout as an art journal. I choose Cotton candy collection to play with. I cut two papers and added to my background to make a 12×12 paper. I added gesso to blend the colours. I added some tags ,elements, stamps and words stickers from the same collection. You can get all that you need in one collection to make a layout or an an journal page. Have fun!

For the May challenge Louise has created a cute little 6 x 12 layout. Louise has struggled through some health and work related issues over the last 12 – 18 months and as a result she feels she has become, a little more grumpy and less tolerant in her day to day life. The layout is a reminder to not forget ‘Kindness’ to herself and those around her.
