Far Away by Nastya Istorkina

Hello everyone! Nastya Istorkina is here today. I want to show you one special canvas. It it about my passion – the sea and the stone beach. I like to sit on the beach and look at the endless sea. Where the horizon ends.

But the only time it’s possible for me to enjoy is once a year during the vacations. The rest of the time I can only imagine how good it is. On that stone beach… I inhale the salty air and I expose my face to the bright sun. I dream someday in the future to live near the sea to be able to enjoy it every day!

I used some products from two new collections – Hazy Days and Dreamscapes. If you still do not have them, then you just need to buy them! Because they are magical!

Strech your imagination by Marie Johansson

Hi crafty souls! Marie here today with a card & tag set created with the new Dreamscapes Collection. I made this set using the 6×6 paper pad, the tag set and embellishments from the sticker sheets. I love the soft colors in the collection. It combines perfectly with brighter elements like flowers, gem stones or mist.

I went for a soft look at my the card above. I wanted to highlight the sun figure from the patterned paper so I placed a piece of chipboard as a frame. Tags with 3D squares under gives extra dimension and the combination of bold and soft yellow give extra interest.

My next card is a bit of a experiment. I love the stencil with birds on strings and wanted to use that on my card. I used black heavy gesso with it to create dimension and a bold effect that I am really satisfied with. I used the combination of tags and flowers here to, and tied it with a soft romantic ribbon.

As for the tags I was using the paper scraps left from my cards. I used them to create two pretty similar but on the other hand opposite tags. The embellishments are really similar but are shown off differently – bold on one and soft on the other. Again I used the combination of flowers, stickers and gem stones. I also added a “Writers´s Block” flair.

Thanks for stepping by here today! I am pretty sure you will fall in love with these new collections as well!

May Challenge: Dreams

In the month of May we thought that the next challenge will be about Dreams. May it be dreams, goals, aspirations or actual night dreams we want you to take what lies inside you imagination and channel it into your projects. So what dreams have you been having lately? Come and share them with us in this challenge.

Here is the inspiration from our team:

“Dreamroad This Way” – I created an art journaling page using the Dreamscapes and Hazy Days collections from 7 Dots Studio. I had a specific idea for this page but it didn’t turned out at all like I expected; it actually turned out better. The page took a turn on its own which made me realize that I must follow my heart and intuition when creating. It really fit the theme of this challenge perfectly as I really felt as if my dreams really know the way and I must follow!! There is a video tutorial above on how I created this art journaling page.

I guess we all have big dreams, goals to achieve in our life. It’s ok – I have such dreams myself, but I always try to remember that we should enjoy the little things, everyday miracles. Only then we’ll be happy. I prepared my layout using Dreamscapes collection.

I had fun making a tag in for this challenge from the Cotton Candy Dreams collection that i think fits theme perfectly. Please enjoy the video.

For our May challenge I made this tag in delicate, pastel colours. I used elements from Dreamscapes and Hazy Days collections. I liked geometric stencils and chipboards, with their help you can conjure up beautiful patterns.

Hello everybody, I love this picture of my little son, now He’s 6 years old, but dreaming is still one of his favourite activities. He is a great dreamer. So this theme is perfect for him !!! I created the background for my project with a paper from the Writer’s Block collection, used blue sprays and modeling paste + a stencil to add texture. I also used Word Stickers, Dies cut and more papers from the same collection, I love it! The embroidering hoop was paint with metallic paints and wax .

What could be more perfect collection to use for a Dream related project than Cotton Candy Dreams? My project is a sweet reminder to never let go of your dreams. You need to chase them, grasp them, make them true. But what’s most important, you need to have them. So sweet dreams!

HI dreamers! This month, I treated my layout as an art journal. I choose Cotton candy collection to play with. I cut two papers and added to my background to make a 12×12 paper. I added gesso to blend the colours. I added some tags ,elements, stamps and words stickers from the same collection. You can get all that you need in one collection to make a layout or an an journal page. Have fun!

For the May challenge Louise has created a cute little 6 x 12 layout. Louise has struggled through some health and work related issues over the last 12 – 18 months and as a result she feels she has become, a little more grumpy and less tolerant in her day to day life. The layout is a reminder to not forget ‘Kindness’ to herself and those around her.
