Sea by Eirini Tsaima

Hello dear 7 Dots friends!!
Spring is here and I’m already in such a sunny and happy mood that I’m looking forward to start swimming on and exploring the amazing Greek seas again. Last weekend, the weather was perfectly sunny and warm, so me and my family visited the Port and while I was watching the boats and fishermen I thought ‘Oh I wish I could jump in there and escape for a while!’. This was my inspiration! I found that wonderful photo on Pinterest and I made a little tutorial for you. So let’s get started.

1 First I took a sea themed paper from the Destination Unknown collection and with my Burst and Stars stencils, I added some White Prima Gesso.

2.Then I used some gold mist plus some white pearl and light green Lindy’s Stamp Gang, here and there and dried with the heat gun.

3.Next, I stamped with the – Lost and Found- and- Fortune Teller- clear stamps from 7Dots collection in white and black colors, to create a messy depth on my paper.

4.As my stamps were drying I took my chipboard and paint it in teal colour and created some paper layers with several collections from 7 Dots’s leftovers.

5.I started decorating my pictures, making some clusters and using some Sea Theme chipboards among with little shells and gause. Two flairs from the fortune Teller collection fit perfectly too.

6. Some extra establishments like Mica Gold Flakes by Prima and salt – pepper effects using Soft matte Prima Gel. Some white and black splashes here and there are also necessary to give a soft-balance to the whole work.

7.Finally my title and white gesso on my flowers and tiny details give a harmony and brightness on my lay out.

That’s it! I hope you enjoyed my Sea themed laout and you found some inspiration for your own creations. Greetings from sunny Greece!
See you soon…Love you all… Eirini

Wall Hanging Photo Collage By Keren Tamir

I created a wall hanging photo collage using recycled flower boxes. I glued the boxes to each other using gel medium and held the sides using paper clips until they were dry.
Once the the frame set-up was done I decided on a placement of my family photos in different boxes. I cut papers from both 7 Dots Studio Destination Unknown and Fortune Teller collections to fit into the remaining boxes and to frame the photos.
Finally I framed some of the photos with several chipboard frames and embellished around the collage with flowers, metals and chipboard embellishments.
These pictures were taken recently during a family vacation and the colours fit perfectly with the teal and turquoise tones of those collections.

“Find Beauty in Chaos” by Keren Tamir

Hi Everyone,
I created an art journaling page using my favourite paper from the Cotton Candy Dreams Collection: Strawberry Fields. I love those bubble trees and I really wanted to incorporated them in my project.
I have a step by step video tutorial below to show how I created this layout.

I especially love the title and message that I chose for this art journal page. “Find beauty in chaos” is something that our world really needs nowadays. I feel that even if in life everything is as chaotic as it may seem, it still does have beauty just like a wild garden. I love how wild gardens grow, and this is exactly what I wanted to show though this art journal page.
Everything has beauty we just need to open our eyes and see it.
At times, as I was creating this page, it felt it was messy and chaotic but as I kept on adding different mediums, it took on its own beauty and so I knew I had to choose this specify title for this page.

Thank you for always visiting the 7 Dots Studio blog and I welcome this new year with open arms.
love
Keren
