Feather by Cindy Brown

Hello Dear creative souls
Today I present you a layout for 7 Dots Studio. Of course I made little video for you as well.

I start with the magnificent papers from the Illumination collection. I cut out the beautiful squares from the paper. Then I make a pile of papers and tags to make it more dimensional. I also add string to my tags which I love doing !!!!! I like to add a little bit of splatters for a final touch!

Please enjoy the video.

Hello my lovely friends.
I’m here with you today to share my new project I have created using the gorgeous 7 Dots Studio products.
I decided to create a layout using papers from different collections: Writer’s Block, Cotton Candy Dreams, Illumination, Soulmates and The Queen’s Heart.

Background is created with mists and water, then some stencil work with modelling paste. Then I finished off with some Splash acrylic ink in white and black. Playing with texture is really fun. I also used some paper elements, stickers and tags.

Music is the voice of the soul by Riikka Kovasin

Hello there everyone! It’s Riikka here today sharing a process video with you! There’s no special technique involved in this layout although there’s different mediums and materials in use. My goal was to show you a fun composition and using a simple tool to add a lot of detail to a page – a stapler. You also get to see basic process when I create a layout.

The page is about a lovely surprise I got in the mail some time ago. When I was attending a Turisas show a couple of years ago, one of the bands performing before them was Thaurorod. I didn’t know the band before but enjoyed the energy the singer radiated to the crowd and took a couple of pictures. I then tweeted them and long story short, a year after I met the singer and spent a day in Stockholm with him. Now that they are about to release their new album they had a competition connected to one of the songs and as it happens, I won. So I got two of their guitar picks and plan to make a piece of jewelry out of them!

I started the layout with some mixed media, creating a background for the piece. For that I used gesso, watercolors, a pencil and some stamping. Then on top I  created the detailed and fun layer using text stickers, die cuts and a stapler. Hope you enjoy!
