Capture Each Moment by Karine Gagnon

My dear crafty friends,
I hope this day finds you well. I’m here today to share my latest layout featuring the Hazy Days collection.

I started out with the Zip 12×12 paper from the Hazy Days collection. I primed it with clear gesso first.
I then created a mixed media background using Writer’s Block – Letters Stencil and some brown Rust Paste. When everything was dry, I selected a few inks and added color to the bottom part of my layout. I also used brown and black ink to stamp some patterns with the Hazy Days – Clear Stamps and Dreamscapes – Clear Stamps.

I also used some papers from the Hazy Days – Pad 6×6, some Hazy Days – Tags 12×12 and some Hazy Days – Die-cut Elements 6×12 here and there around my picture, and a flair from the Hazy Days – Click Click Flair. I also used the Hazy Days – Word Stickers 6×12. Those words are just perfect for this layout featuring my parents with my kids.

Forgotten Treasure by Karine Gagnon

Dear crafty friends,
It’s my turn today to share some 7 Dots Studio love! I was inspired by the gorgeous moodboard of Mixed Media and Art. When I looked at the moodboard, I immediately thought of the Lost and Found collection! It was one of my all time favourites! So I grabbed the few papers that I have left and I created this piece, inspired by the colours, of course, but also by the threes and by the nature.

My background paper is called Stained (Lost and Found collection). I covered it with clear gesso and created a mixed media background over it. To create my background, I used two stencils: Dreamscapes – Geometry Stencil and Hazy Days – Chevron Stencil. I created two main clusters on my layout. Both of them sit on the Typewriter paper (Lost and Found collection).

I also used the Sticky Notes paper (Lost and Found collection) and the Lost and Found – Tags 12×12 in my clusters. I added texture here and there with stamps: Thoughts Keeper – Clear Stamps, Hazy Days – Clear Stamps and Dreamscapes – Clear Stamps. I used the Lost and Found – Die-cut Element 6×12 and the Lost and Found – Word Stickers 6×12 here and there in my clusters.

I really hope you like the results. I created a process video for you to see. I hope you enjoy it.

Have a great day.
Karine xx

Falling Star by Karine Gagnon

Dear crafty friends, Karine is here with you today to share a layout created with the beautiful Dreamscapes collection.

I started my layout with the Dreamscapes – Twinkle paper on which I created a mixed media background with inks.

On my background, I used the Hazy Days – Clear Stamps with black archival ink to add interest.

I like adding tiny bits and pieces amongst my embellishments clusters. Here, I used a circle from the Dreamscapes – Die-cut Elements 6×12 to go with the circle shape of my flowers and badges.

Behind my picture, I used a few papers from the Dreamscapes – Pad 6×6. Those 6×6 paper pads are fantastic when I have to create a mat behind my picture or to add dimension on any layout. I also used a circle sticker from the Dreamscapes – Element Stickers 6×12.

My layout wouldn’t be complete without a tag or two. I used, of course, the Dreamscapes – Tags 12×12.

For my title, I choose those two stickers from the Dreamscapes – Word Stickers 6×12, as I found the saying so beautiful.
