Mail Art by Keren Tamir

Hi Everyone,
It’s Keren here for the 7 Dots Studio blog.
I created this mixed media book cover using the Writer’s Block collection. I mounted the composition on a piece of corrugated cardboard I’d cut from a box. I used lots of mediums to alter it and make it look rusted and old. I wanted to have a book cover hooked on with large jump rings so I can attach beautiful greeting cards I’ve received from some friends around the world.

Below is a step by step video video tutorial on how I created this cover:

“Find Beauty in Chaos” by Keren Tamir

Hi Everyone,
I created an art journaling page using my favourite paper from the Cotton Candy Dreams Collection: Strawberry Fields. I love those bubble trees and I really wanted to incorporated them in my project.
I have a step by step video tutorial below to show how I created this layout.

I especially love the title and message that I chose for this art journal page. “Find beauty in chaos” is something that our world really needs nowadays. I feel that even if in life everything is as chaotic as it may seem, it still does have beauty just like a wild garden. I love how wild gardens grow, and this is exactly what I wanted to show though this art journal page.
Everything has beauty we just need to open our eyes and see it.
At times, as I was creating this page, it felt it was messy and chaotic but as I kept on adding different mediums, it took on its own beauty and so I knew I had to choose this specify title for this page.

Thank you for always visiting the 7 Dots Studio blog and I welcome this new year with open arms.
love
Keren

Sugar and Spice by Keren Tamir

I created this monochromatic layout using the Cotton Candy Dreams collection. I love this collection as its so bright and colourful. I used the stencils and stamps from this collection to create the background. Then I used the tags, stickers and die-cut elements to match the photo and embellish the layout.

This is a picture of my daughter posing on a rock. She’s always full of spunk and spice. That’s why I called the layout Sugar and Spice, Its exactly just like her.
