If you are a vintage lover you will be delighted with information, that our November challenge is about vintage Our team created a bunch of inspiring projects – layouts, art-journal pages, altered art, atc, but they are all definitely vintage So let us inspire you and join our challenge
There is something magical about photographs, especially old ones.
I adore black and white photos as well as black and white movies from the 30′ to the 50′s.
I love the artistry of the photography with all the lights and shadows that adds to the feeling of the photo and movie. Sometimes I would like live in that era
My vintage layout I created with 7 Dots Studio “Lost and Found” collection and beautiful UmWowStudio chipboard.
Be who you want to be
Although I don’t do them very often, I love doing vintage projects. They emit the greatness of a lost, old world, full of grandeur and grace. They make me feel nostalgic and at the same time they prompt me to move forward and look to the future. The message I want to get across with this page is that we must be who we want to be, starting with questioning everything in our lives. We won’t forget our stories, we’ll have to record them, but let’s not linger in the past. Lost and Found Collection at its full glory, again.
I adore all about vintage. I love old lace, warm colors and this mood. It’s very easy to make good vintage prodject when you hape amazing paper as Thoughts Keeper, Lost and Found or Nature Walk.
I used the Lost & Found Collection for my vintage page, along with a stencil from Soulmates. This is a photo of my kids ten years ago, when they were all much younger. It was taken on our last day in Zimbabwe before we moved to South Africa, which is why my eldest daughter was looking so sad! I incorporated doilies, buttons & flowers into my design, in keeping with the vintage theme & aged everything with a dark brown ink pad.
I felt delighted when it came to create a spread in Finnabair’s round robin art journal. We were asked to use both elements: some coffee or tea stain and a portrait chosen from a pile of photos depicting Finn’s relatives. The gentleman wearing traditional highland outfit just stole my heart at once. His personality after so many years is still irresistible.
The “Vintage” theme reminded me immediately about the “Cold Country” collection and the old photos there. While rummaging through my 7 Dots Studio drawer I noticed also an almost used sheet of words stickers and thus the idea of the backgrounds for these ATCs were born.
Each of the cards holds a secret. It was so fun inventing these! The secrets are written with the white pen to the cards but I manipulated my handwriting so that the text isn’t readable. The names of the cards might give a hint – “The Traveler”, “The Lover”, “The Dreamer” and “The Thinker”.
