Mint Julep by Marie Johansson

Using scraps to create cards is a perfect way to use up pieces of paper or embellishments that otherwise will find their way into your trash bin. I decided to make a card from a piece of the “Mint Julep” 12×12 patterned paper from the Cotton Candy Dreams Collection. I used the paper for the little round box I created for 7 Dots Studio last month, if you remember that piece.

Tags, stickers & a Cotton Candy Dreams flair from UmWowStudio, together with a couple of flowers make the card look great.

Another great way to use up small scraps from patterned papers is to use them when you die cut. I die cut the leaves on the card from a scrap piece of paper from the Writer´s Block Collection.

This video will guide you trough how I created the card:

I created a layout using the Fortune Teller collection. I love the dark rich tones of that collection especially how the brown and turquoise combine so beautiful. I added lots of texture to create depth and movement around the photo. The crackles in the background mimic the beautiful trees in the photo. This photo was taken in my recent trip to Mexico. I just loved this hidden shelter between the trees.

Below is the step by step video tutorial on how I created this layout. Enjoy!!

Blue ATC by Cindy Brown

Hello Gang!
Today I present ATC cards for 7 Dots Studio. I had fun with the beautiful embellishments from 7 Dots Studio. I am still in love with the brand. I love working with these. Of course I made a little Video for you which you can find down below.

I start with the beautiful paper from the Verano Azul collection. I like to make my own card from the papers pads. Especially as they are perfect for the small projects. Afterwards, I play with stickers, tags and labels. A little bit of splatters and the project is finished.

Please enjoy the video.
