September Challenge: Favourite Historical Figure

september challenge favourite historical figure

Last month we asked you who your favourite artist was. Now after all of your amazing entries on that subject we want you to share with us who is your Favourite Historical Figure. Make projects about people from the past either those who changed the world or  those who are important to you. Who’s going to be your inspiration this month?

Here is the inspiration from our team:

september challenge favourite historical figureI chose to tell you about a woman I discovered only recently: Irena Sendlerowa, who worked as a plumber and locksmith in Warsaw’s ghetto during World War II. She saved the lives of 2500 children by taking them out of the ghetto, hiding them in her toolbox or in a big bag according to the size of the children. To help her, she trained her dog to bark on command in order to cover the sounds made by the children, so the nazi guards did not discover their presence. To make my page, I used the magnificent Dreamscapes collection that I find perfect for this theme.

september challenge favourite historical figureI chose Johannes Kepler – a German mathematician, an astronomer, a mechanic, an optician, the discoverer of the laws of motion of the planets of the solar system. For my work, I chose paper from the old collection “Destination unknown” and “Fortune Teller”.

Hello, friends! I’ve been thinking of the some historical character for me to do as the main character of my page. And then I remembered a wonderful film called the Golden age. It tells of the reign of Queen Elizabeth of England. I love that movie. I like the outfits, the gorgeous decorations of the palaces, gold and luxury of the era! The Queen Elizabeth was beautiful red hair. I took a photo of a girl with similar hair, but her face is not visible, it disappeared in time… For my layout I have used 7 Dots Studio – Hazy Days

september challenge favourite historical figureAs the new challenge is about historical persons of interest, I had so many historical figures pass my mind. Thinking about so many influential people that helped shape the world as it is today. I had finally choose Anne Frank. She was such an old wise soul in such a young person. And with all that was going on in the world during her short time here, so many positive and encouraging words of wisdom came from her and her writing. She was brave and she has a legacy that will live on for generations to come.

september challenge favourite historical figure”I had a dream”.. Who does not know this famous sentence? My creation is based on this famous quote of Martin Luther King. This evocation which no matter who we are or where we come from, we have the possibility of moving forward, of making our dreams a reality. I adore this idea and what it evokes, and it is true especially with all which takes place in the fault the world…

september challenge favourite historical figureThis is a delightful challenge and I could not decide who will be my favourite historical figure, so many ideas!
I am more often inspired by books, fairy tales and films and this time my heart was subdued by King Arthur. I dreamed of making a layout with this picture! How much strength, emotion and no need for words here. This project was very exciting for me, because I did the first layout in the style of grunge. And I was inspired by an amazing new collection ” Hazy Days”. Each sheet of this collection opens up new possibilities and ideas for me. It’s incredible. And of course I like to use a stencil from the collection “Writer’s Block” – Letters. For decor I used tags from collection ” Hazy Days” and Finnabair products for mixed media. This is an amazing and very inspiring challenge and I hope you will join us soon!
