April 2018 Guest Designer – Phyllis Fernandez
Hello 7 Dots Studio Crafty Friends! My name is Phyllis Fernandez, I have been papercrafting since 2005. I started out creating very simple cards, I fell in love with scrapbooking when my friend showed me her scrapbook album and that was the beginning of my journey with papercrafting! About 4 years ago I discovered Mixed Media, I was so inspired by so many videos I wanted to give it a try! I was in LOVE!!! I love creating layouts, tags, altered bottles and canvases.
The first time I created with 7 Dots Studio was when a sweet crafty friend gifted me with some 7 Dots Studio supplies! I LOVED creating with everything, stamps, stencils, paper and tags! So for 7 Dots Studio’s February Challenge I created a layout and to my surprise I won, I couldn’t believe it, there are so many talented craftersout there! Thank you 7 Dots Studio!
I LOVE creating layouts that are dreamy, so when I saw 7 Dots Studio’s April Moodboard I was inspired to create using teal, purple and raspberry colours! I used 7 Dots Studio’s Painted Chips – Clover paper, Northern Lights – Knitted paper & Frayed Knot paper and Messy Head – Little Thoughts paper. I also used tags from Northern Lights and a word stickers from Dreamscapes. I created my background using 7 Dots Studio Dreamscapes Geometry stencil, I LOVE this stencil so fun to create with! Once I created my background I started tearing papers, adding lace, flowers, butterflies and chipboard pieces. I also used 7 Dots Studio’s Hazy Days stamp. I placed all my embellishments and glued them down then started adding lots of beads, microbeads and glitter.
If you’ve never tried 7 Dots Studio products, head on over to their store! Happy Creating!
