Tutorial from Riikka

Perfect Time
This month I thought to make a little tutorial for you. Or moreover to show steps how I created the layout “Perfect Time”.
The layout is about my younger daughter jammin’ with her father. They both had their own guitars which are actually both built by my husband. They played and goofed around but I loved this picture with the little one looking up to her dad.
I wanted to keep the happy mood of the photo, but bring in some rock attitude so I chose to go with a dark background but added lots of vibrant colors with paints and papers.
Rock on everyone!
Step 1: First I cut some triangles from the Illusion paper and adhered them to the background.
Step 2: I added two colors of acrylic paint and gesso to the background with a palette knife.
Step 3: I added some additional interest using 7 Dots Studio stamp, a stencil with some ink, a pencil and white Sharpie.
Step 4: I started building the paper layers using pieces of patterned papers and die cut images.
Step 5: I added some embellishments and continued building layers.
Step 6: I finished the layout with some doodling, a flair and some splashes of black ink. I also added the journaling.
