Hi to you all!
Here we are again with a big box full of goodies – real eye-candy… It is the first post in our new “Laboratory” section, which will provide you lots of fun with “experiments” and fuel to your creativity:) We’ll look for interesting composition and color palettes everywhere around us – in the magazines, art, websites, online galleries, shops and commerials – why not?

Our first “inspirational experiment” is “photo booth strip” – a collection of photos taken in a photo booth or made in a similar way to look just like booth photos. How cool they are… just think about the story showed in “Amelie”  – this movie is a visual feast and it always makes me smile! (And just think: what amazing Journal she had!!!)

I always like works another scrappers with this type of photos  and this challenge turned out the excellent mobilization and inspiration to create something in similar style. I decided to mix together the papers from both collections – so in my work you can find Dreamer and Elise Rebel. The both collections excellent harmonize together and I think that Olivia`s photos took a very interesting frame. I`m definitely recommending  creative experiments like this one ! 😉

My friend and I love to swap clothes with one another. Because her little girl is 5, all her ‘hand me downs’ go to my daughter and all my sons’ clothes go to her little boy. Its a win-win situation! We had just finished a playdate and had each exchanged bags full of clothes. I was so excited to go through each piece! It was when my daughter and I came across the ‘ballerina dress’ that she gasped with delight. Oh mommy, a REAL ballerina dress! We promptly put on our new treasure and of course mommy went a little crazy snapping photos of her wee ballerina girl.

Our Labolatory assignment, to focus our project on ‘photo booth strips’, fit perfectly with the dozens of photos I had taken that day. I was so excited to be able to choose more than one photo for my layout – LOL! The gorgeous colours in Elise Rebel were simply perfect. Grey tones paired with the brilliant turquoise and soft patterns were simply gorgeous and complimented one another wonderfully! I also included some old film strips on either side of my photos, to make them seem more like a genuine photostrip.

I took these fun photos of me and my youngest son with my phone. Love how they turned out. I’ve just used  the Dreamer collectionfor this one.

I am totally in love with the cute and adorable hearts on the stickers, so I cut them out and placed them everywhere.
I put some journaling on by writing on the patterned paper and cut around the letters.
I have used a prima mask underneath with light blue paint to get the bricks. I made the splatters with glimmermist.
