Dorota Dołęga – August Guest Designer
Hello, my name is Dorota Dołęga. I come from Poland, but I live with my family in Gif-sur-Yvette, small town in Ile-de-France, about 30 kilometres from Paris. I’ve been papercrafting for about four years now; I’ve started as a cardmaker, but about a year ago I started to create layouts and art journal pages, and these are now my favourite forms. I can’t say that I have a defined style, because I love to experiment and my style is still changing. I enjoy using recycled materials, making projects with textures, layers and splashes.
When I’m not papercrafting, I spend my time with my family (most willingly outdoors – my husband and I are passionate rock climbers), read, sew, cook. I like jazz, board games and Belgian beer.
I’m really honoured to be a Guest Designer at 7 Dots Studio – I’m a big fan of this brand and I really enjoy working with these high-quality and well designed papers 🙂
My first layout was made with the ‘Cold Country’ collection. Winter photos are one of my favourite themes for scrapbooking – even if it’s summertime! – and this collection fits it perfectly! I’ve used 12×12 papers as a base and to create layers under the photo and add a lot of stickers and elements, fixed with foam tape to make it more dimensional.
Materials:
Cold Country – Forgotten
Cold Country – As It Was Before
Cold Country – Element Stickers 6×12
Cold Country – Word Stickers
Cold Country – Die-cut Elements 6×12
Illumination – Clear Stamps 1
Illumination – Clear Stamps 2
The second one was made from one of the oldest collection, “Love is in the air”. This delicate watercolour-like paper is great for adding some inks and paints. I’ve used it to create a spring-themed layout filled with leaves, with a lot of bling and splashes.
Materials:
Love Is In The Air – Rising of The Sun
Love Is In The Air – Whisper of the Tree
Love Is In The Air – Elements 12×12
