Tutorial from Ebony van der Starre
Hi everyone, Its Ebony here to show you how to do this layout step by step using some awesome , fun 7 Dots products. I hope you enjoy playing along with my instructions!
Step 1: Take a piece of the 12th teacup paper from the Domestic Goddess range as your background. Then use some texture paste mixed with some mist of your choice to add colour.
Step 2: Then take a mask and apply your coloured texture paste through the centre of your page randomly.
Step 3: Then once dry, take a circle template and a black pen and draw three circles over your texture paste.
Step 4. Now take another mist preferably a translucent one, and colour in your circles by dipping a small paint brush into the mist. Dry well.
Step5: Now using a sewing machine and black cotton and randomly sew some straight stitching through the middle .
Step 6: Using some yellow watercolour paint and a brush, add some colour along your sewn line and then spray with water and allow small drips. Wipe away any excess drips if not desired.
Step 7: Now to add more pop of colour I used some dylusions yellow spray over a few areas of my yellow watercolour paint. I also removed the nozzle and used it to draw some lines and scratch marks.
Step 8: Time to add some stamping. I have used a script stamp and black archival ink to begin with, followed by the “Natures walk” clear stamps.
Step 9: I have now taken some various alphas and word stickers from the “alpha raspberry muffin and salt and pepper alphas “ from the Domestic Goddess range, and adhered along my yellow line.
Step 10: Now take the 12×12 element tags from the “love is in the air range”. I have already previously used a lot of theses tags but here we will use the outter part of the frames left over. Arrange them as I have. We will add some words as our title to one and a photo to the other.
step 11: I have selected the “I believe in you” tag on this elements tag sheet and have cut it into smaller strips to fit in my frame .
Step 12: Now I have added a photo into the other frame and again using a sewing machine, sewn around the borders of the frames.
Step 13: Time to add some more embellishments. I have added stickers and elements from the “Illumination range”.
Step 14: I have now added some black ink splatters with a small brush. I have used black bombay ink but you could use black paint if you wish. Make sure you cover your photo first.
Step 15: Lastly I have decided to add some splashes of purple mist. Once again I have used the nozzle to draw around this circle and also added some spalshes.
