Here is a new layout made with the “Cold Country” collection. I love this collection, the colors are simple and yet so light when working on a mix of papers. I think it’s very clever to have created a collection of monochromatic papers, you would think that we would be looking for the color, but the interest in that series, it’s the contribution of light! By mixing the papers, dark with light, we get to create a beautiful contrast that makes a wonderful light.

I chose to work with a black and white photo, which is also very suitable for this collection, and finally, it is with inks and paints that I add here only a little color. Because it’s a ‘boy’layout, I added a little green and blue and I also worked my papers with a little black and white. My papers were cut out into small strips or sometimes torn into small pieces, and then I have to create my background.

I used chipboard from the ‘Illumination’ collection to add embellishments here and there around my group of flowers, I kept ‘natural’ without adding color.

I hope you enjoy this page, and maybe you will find some inspiration ! it’s everything I hoped !

This year I had an absolutely amazing opportunity to be an educator on first Russian Scrapbooking convention Art Jump. Besides scrapbooking, lots of fun and total inspiration we had a wonderful chance to enjoy beautiful nature. This old and a bit creepy bridge brought us to the small village where we found lots of native wooden houses. I love this inspiring picture and couldn’t resist to make a layout as soon as I returned home. Hope I’ll inspire you too!
