tutorial from maja stokk

Hi! Maja here today with a tutorial of a layout made using the 7Dots Illumination papers.
I´m showing you how my process works and which my favourite mediums to use are. Below is a picture of what I will use.

I first start my background work with a pink Gelato. I draw some lines and smear it out a bit with my finger. After that I use Distress Stains (love those splashes). When it has dried I pick up a stencil att put on some modelling paste. I knew that I would put my photo in the middle and wanted to make a flow of white circles form the upper right corner to the left bottom corner. I use my heater to dry the modeling paste. When that is done I stamp randomly all over the page with a stamp and black ink.

When I come this far I take some of the tags and elements and glue them down on the page. Then I take a brush and use it to splatter som gesso ranomly over the page.

Now my background work is ready and it´s time to glue down the picture, flowers and a few more elements. Last touches on the flowers are made with a brush and gesso. Then the page is ready =) Below you can see the finished result and a couple of detail photos.
