Helen Tilbury

Hi everyone! Soulmates has turned out to be one of my all time FAVOURITE collections from 7 Dots Studio. It is one of those that “grows” on you over time as you realise how flexible it is. The colours too are just amazing!
I created a layout focusing on the tags from Soulmates, as well as the negative off-cut frame work that also comes from the tags. For my background I misted some brown shades onto a plastic sheet followed by some dabs of white acrylic paint then pushed my paper face down into it to give me some colours mainly on the lower part of my page.
Before adhering my tags & photo I used some modelling paste through the BEAUTIFUL Soulmates stencil, for some lovely, fine texture. Once I had my elements glued down I added some stickers from the Soulmates collection too, along with some Dry-wall tape, then did some stamping with 7 Dots Stamps.
I don’t usually stamp with an acrylic block as I prefer for my stamping to have a messy, imperfect look. This is also a much more fun & tactile way of working that is good for the soul!
Lastly I selected some complimenting embellishments to create my two main cluster areas. Mostly flowers in similar tones to the papers, as well as some metals & micro-beads.
From 7 Dots Studio I used :-
Soulmates Patterned Paper – Sensuality
Soulmates – Damask Mask
Soulmates 12 inch Tag Sheet
Soulmates 6 x 12 inch Word Stickers
Soulmates 6 x 12 Element Stickers
Illumination – Stamp set 1 as shown
Thanks for your visit today! I hope you find some time to play with your Soulmates Collection too if you have it or head on over to the 7 Dots Retail Store to grab some for yourself. It is truly beautiful!!
