Catherine Giguere – our January Guest Designer

My name is Catherine Giguère and I’m living in Quebec, a French-speaking province of Canada. I’m 38 years old and I have two children. I do scrapbooking for almost 11 years now and since that time, it has become a passion more than a hobby. I love mix media and playing with gesso, modelling paste and inks. I’m part of two Design Team: 2 Crafty Chipboards and Words and Paintery. I’m very happy to be a Guest Designer for 7 Dots, I hope you will like the creations I did with two of my favorite collections of paper of all time: ‘Lost and Found’ and ‘Yuletide’.
“Life Documented”
Hello 7 Dots fans! I’m really happy to have the chance to share with you two of my creations as February Guest Designer. I made my first layout on the ‘Lab Notes’ paper of the beautiful collection ‘Lost and Found’. I glued my paper on a 12×12 chipboard to prevent that it curled too much. Then, I did a texturized background with doilies, modelling paste, stencil and joint tape. I played with Yellow Amber 13 arts ink and water on top of it. I add stamp with black ink to add contrast. Then, I paint my 2 Crafty Chipboards with white Gesso and add flowers and some ‘Lost and Found’ embellishments to finished the layout.
