Layout by Fiona Paltridge

Hello 7 Dots Studio friends. Fiona here with you today to share a layout I created using the “Lost and Found” collection. I absolutely love the rustic look of these papers. They lend themselves perfectly to vintage themes and black and white photos.
I was really drawn to the doily design on the edge of the Typewriter 12 x12 design from the collection. So I decided to make this my feature area.
I used my sewing machine to follow the area that the doily covers using a zigzag stitch and a long straight stitch. I love how the threads bunch in little piles and create an old look to the page.
I layered my photo using a combination of 6×6 papers from the range, some Stickers and die cuts. I edged them with some brown ink to make them appear a little rustic.
I off set my layout with a little cluster I made to the left of my main design area. I put together a combination of tags and stickers and a little wooden chipboard tag from the Lost and Found collection along with some cotton and twine.
I finished the page up by adding some black ink splats and stamping and added the title “Picture Perfect” from the word stickers 6×12 page.
I just love creating with this collection, it suits my rustic style perfectly. I hope you have discovered this awesome collection too. It is very enjoyable to create with.
