March challenge – Parts of Your Face

Hello 🙂
This month challenge is about PARTS OF YOUR FACE. If you would like to win Collection Kit and 2 stencils from our newest collection “Homegrown”, join the challenge 🙂
Here is an inspiration from our team:
Your Eyes
This month’s challenge’s theme is Parts of your face and I loved using this picture of my daughter’s eyes. I love my daughter’s eyes and just wanted to focus on this beautiful feature.I used the messy head collection because not only it has to do with the face, but I loved the colours. I used a lot of 7 Dots Stamps to create texture in the background. Then I used some elements from the Messy Head collection to embellish.
When we was in Prague this January, we discovered modern sculptures by David Cerny. One of them was a fantastic, hudge face. It’s parts was moving and rotating all the time! And this face and it’s parts is the main object of my project. I hope You’ll be inspired. And if You ever will be in Prague, don’t forget to see the sculptures by David Cerny. It’s a wonderful piece of art.
I love my son most of all in my life! But his smile is the best part of his face. I feel my self absolutly happy when i saw Tim’s smile.
I created a layout with amazing vintage collection ‘Lost and Found’.
In my project, I used an old photograph when I was young.
Layout – #iamenough
Louise interpreted the challenge by using her own whole body silhouette, to reinforce the sentiment of the layout #iamenough
At first I was a bit lost with the theme but then it hit me! “Parts of faces” reminded me of the Three Wise Monkeys, Mizaru, Kikazaru and Iwazaru, covering parts of their faces. So I did some ATCs with the theme “speak no evil, hear no evil, see no evil”. The stickers from “Cold Country” suited the cards so well and I used a bar styled sticker from the sheet to cover the right parts of the faces.
I’ve used the beautiful “Verano Azul” collection to express my creation with. I think we can all be too critical of what we look like. We often say things like “I wish my eyes were bigger” or “I wish my nose was smaller” but I think we must remember that the parts of our face, whether we do or don’t like them, are our identity, the way people recognise us and we should embrace them every time we look in the mirror. Creating this page was a very interesting process for me. I was able to appreciate each part of me for what it is, even my funny pokey nose! Like any problem we may encounter, in reality, when you break it down piece by piece, it doesn’t seem that bad after all. Embrace your face xx
