Hello there! It’s Riikka here today to share a couple of layouts with you. Yes, unlike the title suggest I didn’t make tags but instead used them in my pages. The other one is full of different colors and the other one I made white on white.
The colorful page is about a shop we bumped into last summer when we were on a family vacation in Berlin. The sign of the shop was intriguing and we went closer only to notice that we just HAD to get in. It was a huge craft shop filling the bottom floor of a warehouse. Meter after meter, shelf after shelf of different crafts supplies ranging from art supplies to knitting and fabrics. Me and my girls were in heaven and even my husband seemed to enjoy the supply.
As I knew I was going to add different colors to the page I chose to go with a neutral background. It gave a great backdrop to the colors. Then I added some water soluble crayons on top, spread them using water, added some stenciling and stamping and lastly added a bunch of different embellishments as a belt across the page.

The other page is done of a photo taken during the same trip. It’s the ceiling of the breakfast room in our hotel. The service in the place wasn’t the best but the surroundings were awesome as well as the placement. The ceiling was very beautiful with the raised motifs.
I wanted the page to have a similar feel as the picture and created a 3D pattern using a stencil and Modeling paste. But even before that I added the word stickers around the edges of the page. They give a modern touch to otherwise quite a romantic page.
I kept the color scheme monochromatic so I used India Ink to get the watercolor look in the background. There’s also some stamping, white doodles and pencil doodles. On top of my usual circular doodles and just lines, I also added in some swirls to mimic the feel of the ornate ceiling.
