laboratory new years resolutions and to do listsHi again on the last day of Christmas! I hope you all had a great family time, full of joy and happiness and that your memories are full of wonderful Christmas moments.
Here, at 7 Dots studio DT we are thinking now about the New Year
– which is coming very soon! Of course, if we talk about the New Year we think about the New Year’s resolutions and to-do lists... how we can use this element, this kind of journaling in our projects? Come and see – welcome!

Heidi says:
What a perfect challenge to end the year on! I often reflect on how I want to live the next year, and this layout is all about that!  The journaling reads (in the event that it is too small on screen…)

“I will be:
1. Shining with light
2. Brilliant
3. Lively and cheerful
4. Favorable, hopeful
5. Illustrious

and will:
{have} fun
enjoy {life}
inspire {someone}
dream {big}”

I decided that my new “art-notebook-journal” will start with Austin Kleon’s rules of effective creativity “How to steal like an artist” . Hope they will inspire me and make me think and working on.

Mumkaa says:
2012 is for many reasons a very important time for me – so I couldn’t start it without New Years resolutions – a small “to do” list for myself. I think this list is still opened, and till the end of December there will be more “points” which will need to be added to it.
The layout is made on the “bright side” of the  Sweet Dreams paper from the Dreamer collection. My love for this light colors is still with me. There aren’t many embellishments, but a lot of paint, tape and stitching…. and a bit of journaling  – it was obligatory to use it!

Not sure if you are aware or not, but since the end of Oct. I’ve been having some pretty major health issues effecting my heart and lungs.  It has been so very frustrating for me as I’ve undergone test after test and seen so many specialists and they are still unsure what is causing the problem of making it difficult for me to breathe.  This layout is a project documenting my journey up until the present. There are 5 pages written up in detail (which I’ll spare you the details) of my ups and downs and the final page is a list of things I can’t wait to do once I’m ‘better‘.

Well this time for a change, I’ve made a holder for my post it notes. I need to be better at writing stuff down. such as grocery lists, to do lists and other stuff to remember. Now I also don’t have to look for the post its any more. Always lost them in the house mess before 😛 I’ve used the Elise Rebel collection thic time with the bright and girly colors.
For the holder I’ve used a cardboard piece from a package I got in the mail. Folded it and painted it with white paint and some glimmermist spots.
