“Write your own story” by Sanderijn de Bruin-Mittendorf

Hi everybody!
To start this new year I have made a canvas, to give myself a fresh new start, to remind myself to write my own story, and that my choices in life are creating this story.
The gorgeous papers from Writer’s Block ‘Torn’ has all these little rectangles with different patterns on it. I cut some out, moved here and there, and suddenly I got this idea to create a canvas with them.
I first glued them on the canvas with 3d gel, then I added a layer of clear gesso.
Then I added a layer of clear crackle, and in the middle I used some white crackle.
After more than 12 hours, the crackles looked marvellous!
I used the letters stencil and white gesso to create some more texture.
I started spraying some Lindy’s inks (brown and white) on the crackled surface, and added some more, using tissue paper to soak up excess inks, and using a heattool to dry faster.
My chipboard piece is also sprayed with inks and dabbered with white gesso here and there. I used some crackle on the chipboard, on the badge and on the word sticker too.
I wrapped some wire around the canvas before I glued everything else down.
Thank you so much for watching!
Love, Sanderijn
