Hi there 7 Dots Studio fans!
It is high time to get more inspiration from our super talented designers! This time we want to invite you into the world of music and dance – it is carnival, right? Here are the projects inspired by the favorite “dancing” songs of our DT!

Tara says:

I have soooo many songs that I enjoy and so many different genres and artists that inspire me that it’s hard for my to chose just one song that I adore the most. For this particular layout however, there was a song that I had in mind the entire time I was creating. I’ve had a little bit of a rough go the past few months and finally now, everything seems to be getting back to normal. I am so relieved that they seem to be on the right track to ‘mending’ what was wrong with me. The song “I Can See Clearly Now” was just a perfect fit. I’m on the road to recovery, I know what I have to do to get there and everything is going to be just fine moving forward :>

“This page is about my feelings about Tori Amos’ song “Spring haze”. I feel something light and bright. It can make me spin round and round over and over again. And it’s better to do it then your eyes are closed.”

This months theme was a challenge for me. So it was a great feeling when it finally came together. My daughter is always dancing and spinning around like a real girly girl. So have always called her my little dancing queen. ABBAs song “Dancing Queen” always lie in the back of my head when I watch her dancing. These photos is of her and her grandfather dancing and twirling last summer.

I love dance and the energy that triggers in me! And the song “Dance With Me” by Nouvelle Vague, makes me a lot of emotion. I gave them free rein to create a “collage” of dancing people, words, flowers and colours:)

This project is the second in a small series that I will be doing for my daughter Sarenna, who as girly as they come, must twirl every time she puts on a dress and sways and dances to just about any kind of music that plays. 🙂 I used 2 sheets of “Sweet Dreams” from the Dreamer Collection, cutting up one sheet, creating lots of layers. I then embossed upon, inked, painted, applied pastes, bead gel, and masking tape tear-offs to most of these strips and layers before adding onto my background sheet of “Sweet Dreams”. I also used stickers from this collection in random places, and then added some more embellishments and a title, of course!

Magdalena says:

I was inspired by “Dance Me to the End of Love”, a song by Leonard Cohen. I made two spools and I put a piece of text inside. The spools can stand in valentine cards.
