Me Moi by Louise Nelson

Louise for this step-by-step post wanted to share with you a quick and fun way of using up older ranges of 7 Dots Studio Die-cut tags/elements. She has turned some ‘All I Ever’ large die-cuts into photo frames. All you need is a craft mat, craft knife and some large die-cut pieces.

• Begin by popping out the large die-cut elements; Louise has chosen 3 from the ‘All I Ever’ range as they have an interesting shape.
• Grab a craft knife and cut around the outer edge of the die-cut element, but on the inside. Louise has cut approximately a 4mm frame width.
• Using a coordinating ink, ink around both the outside and inside edges of the cut frame.

• Select your photos and background; crop your photos to fit inside the frames, and then place/adhere to background paper.
• For this layout Louise has stapled her photos and frames to the background.
• Start selecting desired chipboard [leave it raw/unfinished] and stickers/die-cuts.
• With the Stickers and die-cuts ink around the outside edges, and then adhere into position.

• To add a visual interest Louise has added some extra staples.
• Before adding anymore embellishments and the title, Louise has added some splats of coordinating water colour paint.
• When adding the splats of paint don’t forget to protect your photos, Louise has used scraps of cardstock.
• Once the paint has dried continue to add extra die-cuts and stickers; ensuring that they are also inked around the outside edges.

• Now to complete the layout with title/journal strips. Adhere chosen title alphas, Louise has used flocked [material] alphas that can be coloured with
the same water colour paint used for the splats.
• Adhere selected journal strips on the photos as depicted above.
• To complete the layout Louise has added some coordinating enamel dot embellishments.

Well that is it We do hope hope you like this fun and quick use of the Die-cut elements to create photo frames. Here are a few close up photos for you to check out! 🙂 Cheers and Happy Creating!
