Laboratory – Crazy layering
Today we would like to show you layers and layers and once more layers 🙂 Our designers made absolutely fabulous works – you will see by yourselves. It is such fun to see how different are their styles and how their layers differ 🙂 So inspiring! So beautiful! So fantastic! Please stop for a while and take a look at our DT works. Tusia

Here is my project for the labolatory challenge. This had my name written all over it as I LOVE using lots and lots of layers on my
pages!! I often like to mix textures as well – crochet doilies, paper doilies, patterned paper, chipboard, flowers, etc to add more dimension and texture to my page.
This layout of my two youngest children is overflowing with layers of patterned papers, stickers, flowers, crystals, paint and more!

I took this challenge for exactly what it was! I wanted to create tons of layers using the Dreamer Collection paper, so I used 2 sheets of “Night’s Fever,” one as the background the other for using with die cuts and my embossing folders for added texture. I then used gesso on my background sheet, then after it was dry, added some more molding paste, cheesecloth, and bead gel for added dimension. Then I attached my various textured strips and cut-out layers from “Night’s Fever,” framing my photo.
For the first time in FOREVER, I didn’t use any paint! This paper was so beautiful, just as it is, and worked so amazing with the whites from the gesso and molding paste, that I left it all alone after that! The title, “Layers (to peel back),” just seemed to fit perfectly.

Everybody who know me know that I love use layers in my work ! So when I read new challenge 7 Dots Studio I thought that is something for me!
In my work I decided to use the Night`s Fever from Dreamer collection [I think this paper gives really big opportunities!]. In my first layer I used some pieces of pages from old book, then I added some white acrylic paint. Some extra layers I created from masking tape, scraps of paper, stickers and photo. I think that final effect is very interesting – all layers good work together.
Used materials 7 Dots Studio :
Dreamer Night`s Fever
Dreamer City Lights
Dreamer Stickers 12×12
Dreamer Stickers 6×12

I made a lot layers with scotch and paint. Then I put some punched paper between. At the end I decided that all my page should look a little bit crazy, not just layers.

I love the layers! I like when overlap, protrude and look like a nearly 3d.
When I first saw the Superstitious paper from Elise Rebel collection, I knew right away that someday I will cut off this lovely pink swirl:) And that he is! The principal ornament of my LO, which commemorated a crazy day:) I wonder if you guess – which day?

I used pieces of paper transfered into sticky back canvas. I added some fabrics and laces. I composed over 30 layers.
