November 2018 Guest Designer – Asia Marquet
Let’s start November Challenge with a BANG. If you haven’t joined already, we hope that this stunning project by our Guest Designer will give you some positive energy to create on your own.
Hi, my name is Asia aka Lemon Creation. So happy to be a Guest Designer for 7 Dots Studio! I am Polish/French happy mum of two kids and equally happy wife of one husband:) Although I have no artistic background of any kind (I studied Foreign Trade of all things, lol 🙂 ), I always loved to create, always treasured more handmade objects to the ones bought in a shop. I started truly creating mixed media projects around 2 years ago and I can’t stop since! Art journaling is probably my biggest love, but I love learning and experimenting, so I am creating other projects as well. My family keeps me happy and art keeps me sane and zen- what else can I want? 🙂
My inspiration for this project was, apart from this gorgeous November moodboard, the concept of light and time. To portray the lights I used the photo of lanterns and for the time – cogs. I added word stickers from the Hazy Day collection to followed my idea to the end, and I am very happy with the sentiments used. I also got to work with colours I just love using together- red and black. Honestly I was not sure how well will I incorporate the turquoise in my project, but I think I found a good balance 🙂 For my project I used 7 Dots Studio paper from the collection Homegrown, Hazy Days word stickers and tags and element stickers from the collection Yuletide. I hope this layout can tell you a story- maybe of time which is so ephemeral and of light, which gives us strength to go forward 🙂
