November Challenge: Favourite Animal or Pet

Animals, humans faithful companions, pets and best friends. Not only do they bring joy into our lives but are magnificent creatures. That’s why this month we want you to capture the beauty of your favourite animals or pets in your projects. So, get busy scrapping and share with us your animal friends.

Here is the inspiration from our team:

Hello everyone! This month we have such a good challenge which gives so many possibilities to create! I was inspired by this photo and it`s colour pallet. Green and red – such a beautiful combo! I was using Dreamscapes paper collection and tags. My main paper sheet for background is Chestnuts from Yuletide paper collection and word stickers from Fortune-teller. Wish you a lot of inspiration, Nadya.

For our cute challenge, the animals were chosen by my daughter. She is very fond of foxes and cats. And it’s a layout for her! I really wanted to do something sweet and natural. I like to use the “Dreamscapes” collection for forest projects. It always inspires me! I hope you also love this collection, like me!

On this challenge I took a photograph of the cat. There are two cats in my house who like to turn the house upside down. And on the page I collected their favourite toys: a bell, coils of wool and paper. They just adore paper! Our sweet cats.

This layout is about our new pug puppy Lucy, who has recently joined our family. She is so tiny and cute and is our little princess. She will be a very pampered pup. I have used a mix of the Hazy Days and Homegrown collections for this layout. I have also used some of the Dreamscapes stamps.

I love the different animals: cats, dogs, and raccoons… as a child I always asked my mom to get a kitten, but she didn’t allow one. And then when I got married, my husband once brought a cat! It was a tiny red lump that couldn’t even feed himself. I fed him milk from a pipette, and cared for him like a child. Now I live with three cats and a big German shepherd. With great pleasure I would get another dog and a couple cats, but now my husband doesn’t allow that :)

For November’s Challenge Louise has created a Tag showcasing a photo of her fave four legged friend, ‘Finn’, [a friends dog]. He is a bit of a ratbag but totally loveable!!! :)

I created a layout featuring our cute dog Cookie. He is not only cute but his fur is white as snow so I thought it would be perfect to create a layout full of snowflakes that match his fur. I used the Verano Azul collection for the background as well as some of the tags. I framed the photo in the Hazy days chipboard frame and used some of the chipboard stars to decorate.

When I heard about the theme of this challenge, I immediately thought about Butterflies! I think butterflies are the most gracious animal, aren’t they? So I decided to create a special mixed media canvas for this challenge. I used crackle paint and modeling paste through 7 DOTS STUDIO stencil for the background and added different layers with Fortune-teller‘s tags, Die-cuts and stickers from different collections. The words stickers are from the new collection Nothern Lights.

My favourite animal is my dog, Mister Cookie (Monsieur Biscuit in French). It is my most faithful companion. I use the Dreamscapes collection to make my layout. This collection is so versatile that you can use it for a very soft creation as much as something more striking. And you? what is your favourite animal?

Spread Kindness by Lisa Amiet

Spread Kindness is a layout that I really love. Its full of girly layers and details.

I have used pieces from the Cotton Candy Dreams – Pucker Up 12 x 12 Paper, and Cloud Watching 12 x 12 Papers, along with some pieces of the Dreamscapes – Under the Covers 12 x 12 Paper, and Narwal 12 x 12 Papers. I have distressed some of the pieces and I have used a die cut machine to punch other pieces.

I have used 12 x 6 Word Stickers from Cotton Candy Dreams collection and the Word Stickers 12 x 6 from the Dreamscapes collection. I have also used die cut pieces from the Dreamscapes Die Cut Elements 12 x 6 to finish off my page. I love how I can mix and match collections and they all work so well together.

October Challenge: Sunrise – Sunset

We cant imagine our life without the Sun and yet the beauty of Sunrises and Sunsets remains the endless source of inspiration. This month we would like you to be inspired by the dusks and dawns. Let the sun fill your projects that you share with us this month.
Also from this month onwards the winner of the Challenge will get a chance to be a guest designer on our blog.

Here is the inspiration from our team:

When I heard about the theme from this challenge, I immediately knew I wanted to use this picture. This picture is from the first sunset at Lake Garda (Lago Di Garda) in Italy, when we arrived there this summer. I have never been to Italy and I absolutely love the country already. Lake Garda is gorgeous and you get to see the most beautiful sunsets and sunrises (although I never saw those because I was asleep). I took many pictures of the sunset that vacation, and I love to have those warm and happy memories every time I see them again…

I always liked the photos of sunrise and sunset. I always found it inspiring. Then, what asked of better for a challenge? I played with cotton candy dreams collection because the colors were just perfect to fit with my picture. My cousin took this picture from a trip in Replublic Dominican with all my ants and I…so much fun we had…

I love to watch as the sun rises and sets! It seems to me that at this time miracles happen! For my layout I have used 7 Dots Studio – Dreamscapes collection.

A new challenge so new inspiration. And what better than a bright and lively canvas. I wanted to do something a bit different this month and decided how perfect than to use the “Sunrise” Paper from the Dreamscapes Collection and focus on the face as the focal point of the composition. Using various elements from the collection with layering and adding texture, the piece comes together and brings a little bit of sunshine into your day. You can also watch the video of the creative process.

When I think Sunrise, I imagine a new beginnings, inspiration, creating… I decided to create a Sunrise themed layout. I picked a beautiful picture from free image stock and matched to it 2 different color papers, just like in the picture. Next I added a background stumping, modeling paste through Geometry stencil and all the embellishments. You welcome to watch the whole process in my video tutorial.

When I think – sunset – I always see the beautiful sun falling down into the Baltic Sea… For me it is one of the most wonderful views in the world. Don’t You think? Just take a look… Enjoy!

Hello everyone! I made an autumn notepad in the technique of “midori”. I used the Dreamscapes collection.

For this months Challenge Louise has scrapped a simple style, 6 x 12 inch layout featuring selfie photos of her profile, on the beach at Terrigal Beach, just as the sun was setting.
