Layout video tutorial by Melenia Agapides

My 5th video tutorial for 7 Dots Studio! Finnabair’s Mica Powders, a bit of mists, a couple of flowers & embellishments do the work! I used the amazing “Lost & Found” Collection!

The elegant, fragile, touching music belongs to the OST of the “The Theory of Everything” movie (The Cinematic Orchestra – the arrival of the birds & Transformation)! I love it and I thought it fitted my video perfectly, stylewise. The theme of my page is something really important, that we women tend to forget: we don’t have to be picture perftect!

Life is Good by Melenia Agapides

When I first saw the fabulous “Lost and Found” Collection, I thought “what a great collection for vintage, old-fashioned projects!”. So I kept it aside to use it with some old family photos, that I have in mind to scrap. While thinking about my 7 Dots September layout, I came across this beautiful photo (that is the centre of gravity of my page, as you will see below). As I started contemplating on the style of the page I would create with it, I realized that “Lost & Found” could easily support a modern and fresh photo with pastel colours, so I pulled it from my stash. I decided to take the risk and use it with that photo. Other than that, after having completed a totally clean and simple page some time ago, I lust layered and layered elements (from paper to stamps to light paste) to enjoy this technique again.

Fly so high by Melenia Agapides

Verano Azul is a collection that I believe sets a new trend in the scrapbooking world. Its modern, fresh, crispy designs which are filled with light and love (I don’t wonder why, since Tusia Lech created them) can match any style. For my first project with it, I opted for a mixed media, happy and bright style, with no layering and very few embellishments. The gorgeous background of the “Dazzle Me” page is truly… dazzling and enough to create a stunning effect on its own. The layout talks about daring to take a leap in the void and to pursue our dreams today.
