Forgotten Treasure by Karine Gagnon

Dear crafty friends,
It’s my turn today to share some 7 Dots Studio love! I was inspired by the gorgeous moodboard of Mixed Media and Art. When I looked at the moodboard, I immediately thought of the Lost and Found collection! It was one of my all time favourites! So I grabbed the few papers that I have left and I created this piece, inspired by the colours, of course, but also by the threes and by the nature.

My background paper is called Stained (Lost and Found collection). I covered it with clear gesso and created a mixed media background over it. To create my background, I used two stencils: Dreamscapes – Geometry Stencil and Hazy Days – Chevron Stencil. I created two main clusters on my layout. Both of them sit on the Typewriter paper (Lost and Found collection).

I also used the Sticky Notes paper (Lost and Found collection) and the Lost and Found – Tags 12×12 in my clusters. I added texture here and there with stamps: Thoughts Keeper – Clear Stamps, Hazy Days – Clear Stamps and Dreamscapes – Clear Stamps. I used the Lost and Found – Die-cut Element 6×12 and the Lost and Found – Word Stickers 6×12 here and there in my clusters.

I really hope you like the results. I created a process video for you to see. I hope you enjoy it.

Have a great day.
Karine xx

Sail Away by Heather Thompson

I want to share a layout I did with one of my all time favourite collections from 7 Dots. I wish I had more, the colour combo and elements work perfect in my world. If I could live on the beach, smelling the crisp ocean air, and seeing the nature around me I would be in heaven.

I love layering and the more layers the better in my book, so all the little element from the collection, fish net and chipboard are perfect for that nautical page to bring back those warm, relaxing memories of the ocean blue. Here are some more close-ups for your enjoyment.

I have created a video of my creative process below, Enjoy

Thank you for stopping by today.
Heather

Absorb this moment by Cindy Brown

Hello Dear creative souls. Today I present to you a layout I made for 7 Dots Studio. As always I made a little video for you, you can find below.

I start with the beautiful papers from the Thoughts Keeper collection. I am having fun cutting out rectangles out of papers from this magnificent collection.
Then I stick it all in layers to add depth to my page. Next I add tags, word stickers and some small details for softness. I also like to add a little bit of gesso and ink droplets for a finishing touch.
Please Enjoy The Video.
