Challenge Inspiration by Maria Lillepruun – March 2019 • 7 Dots Studio

Here´s my March challenge inspiration. I decided to create a layout combining different 7 Dots Studio products from various collection. I was inspired by our color scheme and all the dew drops on the pictures. I wanted to make something fairytaleish, something light but detailed. Hopefully you will like my dreamy layout “Believe in Miracles”.

I took the “Mint Julep” sheet from the Cotton Candy Dreams collection as a base and added some decorations to it. The birds are cut out of an old children´s nature book. The butterflies originate from an antistress colouring book for grown-ups 🙂 My intention was to mix many different materials in the layers, so in addition to paper elements I also added textile, flowers, chipboard, plastic and glass.

I used the Seed Pod MASH chipboard from the Garden Party collection in between the layers. The chipboard is covered with white embossing powder. Garden Party is an amazingly beautiful collection, so I also used the text stamp from it to decorate the background, as well as the tag from the tags sheet. The beautiful vintage tower is also cut out of the Garden Party sheet called “Knotty”. Inspired by the dew drops on our banner, I wanted to add some glass bubbles to the layout, so I glued the glass cabochons onto the colourful rounds stickers from the Cotton Candy Dreams and the Northern Lights, and then added them here and there to my layout. The dreamy word stickers are from the sweet Cotton Candy Dreams collection too.
