May 2018 Guest Designer – Darianna Neko
My name is Darya (Darianna Neko in social media) I live in Belarus, Minsk and have two little daughters and lovely husband. I have been creating Mixedmedia since the spring of 2017 and so far no other form of art has found such a response in my soul. I love to create canvases and layouts with photos and pictures that inspire me. Also I create altered objects with mixedmedia techniques. My love for gloom, gothic, black colours are reflected in my work. Contrast, dark colors, darkened edges of works, gloomy subjects of works – this is what people recognize me for.
The palette of May is very gentle. I was inspired by the combination of colours and flowers on it. For the May challenge I create the layout named “Life is beautiful!” I used a beautiful and delicate photo with flowers. In the layout I used light pink, peach, orange, ocher and turquoise colours. This colours are rarely seen in my works so I had to strain my imagination to get something beautiful 🙂 To create the layout I used some 7 Dots Studio products – papers, die cuts, stickers, stamps. I used the paper from the Cotton candy dreams collection and a background stamp from the Dreamscapes collection. I used chevrons and round hand-drawn flowers in the composition after I cut-out from 12×12 paper of the same collection. The background is made using magicials and shakers from Lindy’s Stamp Gang To create the background I used Canna Lily Burnt Orange Magical, Ramblin’ Rose Pink Magical, Oktoberfest Orange Magical Shaker and Guten Tag Teal Magical Shaker. I also used beautiful flowers from Prima Marketing. For greater tenderness in the end, I applied art stones from Finnabair. For the finishing touch I applied some white splashes. The layout turned out very summer and sunny. I want to see the same bouquet, as in the photo on my desk, to inhale a pleasant aroma, to touch the tender petals.
That’s all! Hope you all were enoyed and inspired. 🙂 Darya was with you. Bye!
