November 2018 Challenge
It’s getting colder and colder around the world. So this month we thought we would like to introduce some spice and colour into our Challenge. Strong contrasting colours and some exotic wonders like spices and feathers. Whatever inspires you in this one we hope it brings some warmth into your home.
Join our Challenge and create any projects inspired by the Moodboard. You can make layouts, tags, ATC, canvases, collages, art-journals, off the page projects and more. Please read the rules at the bottom of this post so you can win some amazing prices. We hope that it will inspire you to create new and amazing projects that you can share with us.
Here is the inspiration from our team:
I created some ATCs inspired by this month’s beautiful mood board of red, dark teal & brown. Layering Word stickers, Tag & die-cuts from beautiful 7 Dots Studio collections – Writer’s block, Air mail & Garden Party along with some natural leaves & rusted metal bits helped me in creating these vintage pieces. I added some tea stains and loads of stitching to blend the look.
For our November challenge I created a Mixed Media Autumn House. I used “Garden Party” collection and palette from our moodboard. Autumn in the north has already changed to winter. Only yesterday it snowed, and today all the roofs are covered. Therefore, my house is also slightly covered with snow.
This challenge was so out of my comfort zone! The colours are not what I would normally use, but I thought that they were so beautiful together. I decided to mix the Yuletide collection with the Homegrown collection. I also used a stencil from the Northern Lights collection and stamps from Dreamscapes and from Garden Party. I think that the end result is pretty coherent, even though I mixed all those elements from different collections. I really hope you’ll give this moodboard a try.
Hello friends! The new board is truly inspiring. I created a grunge layout with the atmosphere of the old city. Here are the walls and letters of the city. I used the wonderful “Hazy Days” collections.
