Rosy Cheeks by Karine Gagnon

Hi everybody. It’s Karine, here, for my monthly share! I can’t believe it’s already June! Time is flying by so fast! I wanted to share a layout with one of the new collections, but I didn’t get them in time for this layout. So while I wait, I thought I could revisit an older collection. My choice went for the Cotton Candy Dreams collection. I was inspired by the orange tones, a colour that I don’t often use on a layout. I was trying to capture a warm feeling for this picture of my little boy.

I used the Mint Julep and the Strawberry Fields papers from the collection. To create my background, I also used a lot fo stencils: the Geometry Stencil from the Dreamscapes collection, the Birds on a Wire Stencil from the Hazy Days collection and the Letters Stencil from Writer’s Block. I also selected the clear stamps from the Thoughts Keeper, the Hazy Days and the Dreamscapes collection. As for embellishments, I used the Die-cut Elements 6×12, the 12×12 Tags and the Word Stickers from the Cotton Candy Dreams.
