Vintage Banners set by Bipasha K

Hello wonderful crafters,
Today I am going to share with you two mixed-media banners. I have mixed and matched some beautiful lines of the 7 dots studio: Air Mail, Writer’s block and Garden Party collections. These definitely are my current faves and so versatile, with beautiful vintage touch.

I used Writer’s Block tags for the base of my layout which I further tore and distressed to add a withered aged effect. I used some leftover old embellishment from my stash, all coated with black gesso and textured with Graphite paste-Finnabair to create a dimensional look, followed by highlighting the details with Finnabair’s Old Silver wax.I did get a chance to use some junks of 3D printouts from my engineering lab at uni – what a treasure!

I started with adding some white gesso strokes on my bare banners and then Stamped (using Garden party stamps) here and there and onto my tags to create an abstract structure of my design, followed by some splatters with diluted black & white acrylics. Once I was happy with the composition, I added some further layers of laces, vintage photos and torn paper pieces from 6×6″ paper pad of the Air Mail line, Garden Party Cut Stickers, Air Mail Die Cut Elements. I blended in everything with some art stones from Finnabair.

I finished the project with some quotes from Garden Party Word Stickers and have created a video tutorial to demonstrate the process from scratch. I hope it will inspire you to create your own personalised beautiful banners using these eye-catchy collections from 7dots studio.
