Whales by Elena Martynova
Hello there my creative friends!
Today I’d like to share with you my brand new inspiration – a mixed media layout. This time the inspiration took me to the distant space where the universal whales live. As a child, I loved to look at the stars and imagine myself a space traveller 🙂 And now I sometimes dream about it 🙂 When imagination does not hold back anything, you can create works on any topic using absolutely any collection of papers. And although the Garden Party collection from 7 Dots is more plant-fairy themed, I managed to pull off a space themed project.
I printed out three silhouettes of whales of different sizes, cut them out and circled them on a sheet of paper Garden Party-Fairy Lights. Splashes of Opal Sea Oats spray by Lindy’s added more dynamics and volume. Chipboard from the collection Paint Chips – Spills n Splatters Chipboard just perfectly suited the topic of my work. It looks asteroids, rushing through the universe with great speed. I could not resist and added butterflies, cutting them out of the leaf Garden Party – Born. If there are whales in space, why can’t there be butterflies?
I invite you to watch my video tutorial to see the whole process of creating my project. Enjoy!
