Let’s Meet.

Hello everyone! My name is Ekaterina Belyavskaya. I live in a small town near Moscow, Russia with my little son and husband. I’m happy and really honoured to be a guest designer on my favourite blog! I couldn’t even dream of it. Thank you 7 Dots Studio for the invitation!
I’ve been scrapbooking since 2015 but I just recently found the wonderful world of mixed media. Now my great passion is mixed media layouts. I like to tell the story by means of paper, paints, texture pastes and different embellishments. So I’m very pleased to present you my new layout for December challenge. This month Moodboard is really amazing! I was totally inspired by the Christmas holidays atmosphere and such details as cones, leaves of holly and decorated Christmas tree.

For my layout I took my little son’s photo made on New Year’s Eve two years ago. Winter season is magic time especially when you are a child. It’s time to believe in miracles, to get and to give presents and to feel joy in every moment. For the base of my layout I used a paper from the Yuletide collection. To create addition layers I used a sheet from the Garden Party collection. I tore it to strips to give textured edges. It gives the additional volume to the project and really looks like snowdrifts. This effect is amazing for the winter project! Hope you feel the magic atmosphere of Christmas. Wish you endless inspiration and happy holidays!
